Juan Carlos Fernandez has been an artist and craftsman for over a decade running a successful furniture shop in Venezuela since 2002 producing a range of custom frames, boxes, tables. Many of Juan's pieces reflect his background in architecture that is revealed in his use of volumes and forms. He is currently working with compound curved shapes, cutting his own veneers from Red Cedar burls and applying them with a vacuum press technique. Juan Carlos continues to make his his unique furniture settling here on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia with his wonderful wife Beatriz.
